My review will consist of 3 main factors that make for a respectable restaurant. Most reviews are too general and often vague. Dining experience should encompass all aspects/qualities of the establishment upon one's first impression. First I rate the ambiance/service, second cleanliness and finally the food quality. I consider all these elements to make up for enjoyable dining.
Rank #5 of 29
Let me just add that my 3 friends and I have large appetites so when the sign says "All you can eat" you better mean it.
1. Ambiance/service, poor. They did not want to provide "All you can eat" service. The bill was incorrect they tried to overcharge us on an item, no apology given. No "Thank You" for coming. On the bill you will find a 15% service charge, no prior warning displayed.
2. Dining room cleanliness, very good. The table, seats, dinnerware and the floor/walls were clean. Bathroom, very clean. This is important because this is where the employees also go. Who wants to eat food from a dirty server? I sure don't or would be very turned off.
3. Food quality Very good. The standard appetizers/condiments were fresh, delicious and plentiful. I asked for seconds for all the side dishes, which did arrive promptly. The main meal consisted of veal rib strips, chicken and pork. These are the main meats and are the same for dinner. All cuts of meat were well marinated, fresh and very tasty.
Failure in any one of these factors means failure of all and a final rating of poor. My friends and I cannot enjoy ourselves knowing that the waitress do not want to serve us or try to increase their profit by overcharging. We felt the 15% service was totally undeserved as the service was non-existent. None of us plan to ever return to Seoul Garden. None of us would recommend anyone else try Seoul Garden.
